ANNOUNCEMENTS:

On February 3, 2026, the Huntingdon County Commissioners authorized another round of $30,000.00 in Act 13 Legacy Grant funding for municipalities, non-profits, and recreational organizations. Applications were due by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026.  Following review of eight applications by Planning and Development Department Staff and the County Planning Commission, a recommendation was forwarded to the County Commissioners. On April 28, 2026 the following awards were made:

Cromwell Township – Orbisonia Baseball Field Backstop (Southern Huntingdon Youth Baseball) - $9,000.00

Mount Union Borough – Little League Dugouts Renovation (Youth Baseball/Booster Club)           - $9,000.00

Cassville Borough – Community Building and Grounds Electrical Update Phase II                            - $5,000.00

Warriors Mark Township – Upper Park & Ball Field Renovation (Warriors Mark Youth Baseball)      - $5,000.00

Three Springs Borough – Baseball Bleachers - $2,000.00

In 2025, the Huntingdon County Planning Commission received and carefully reviewed eleven (11) applications for Act 13 Funding. Each application was reviewed in accordance with object criteria established by the program guidelines.

At their April 29, 2025 meeting, the Huntingdon County Commissioners approved the Planning Commission recommendations to fund the following projects:

- Mount Union Borough - PA Ave Wall Mural Project: $5,300.00

- Three Springs Borough - Concrete Renovations (Three Springs Pool): $2,385.00

- Cromwell Township - Orbisonia Ball Field Update (SHC Youth Baseball): $6,485.00

- Walker Township - Woodcock Valley Community Little League Field Update: $5,8300.00

- Cassville Borough- Cassville Borough Community Building and Grounds Re-Beautification Project: $10,000.00
