Welcome to the Huntingdon County Planning & Development Department
The Huntingdon County Planning & Development Department is responsible for the administration of the County's planning and community development programs.
Department staff is responsible for development of various functional plans in response to community needs including:
- Land Use
- Housing
- Economic Development
- Community Facilities
- Cultural Heritage
- Natural Resources
- Transportation
The Department also provides planning assistance to municipalities in the areas of comprehensive planning, zoning and subdivision and land development regulation.
The County Planning Department meets with the Planning Commission during monthly public meetings to discuss current activities in the above-mentioned categories.
